Working in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in the UK, the philosophy behind our offering is that organisations can design their own training programmes, specific to the needs of the organisation and their students. Risktec can customise the content to ensure it is specific to the industry sector, operations and facilities. Furthermore, the delivery location and the timing of the modules are flexible.

Some frequently asked questions:
Is the programme available to individuals? At this time we are not offering the course to single individual students; instead we provide the course to groups of students from the same company. Our clients find this approach very effective because the training can be focused on the company's specific type of operations, risk assessment practices and personnel development needs. If you think there may be a number of personnel in your organisation who would be interested in our programme, then we would be very pleased to discuss further how we could assist.
Can we subscribe to individual modules, rather than to a full programme? The programme is entirely flexible. One or more of any of the modules can be chosen to suit your needs – there is no requirement to register on a full programme leading to a qualification. All modules are available without assessment (i.e. attendance only) or with assessment (which leads to CPD awards). The module content is the same.
Where are the modules run? The modules can be delivered at Risktec’s offices, LJMU premises in Liverpool, or at a location of your choice.
When are the modules run? We are not constrained to academic terms. You are free to select dates that suit the students.
Who delivers the modules? The modules are delivered by Risktec’s practising risk consultants, who have been validated by LJMU to teach to Masters level. Students receive the benefit of up-to-date content and practical, real-world learning.
How long does a programme take? Modules typically comprise two days face-to-face teaching followed, for modules with assessment, by a period of self-study to complete a formally assessed piece of coursework. The duration for a postgraduate qualification depends on whether the course is studied full time or part time and is agreed in advance. Generally the Post-graduate Certificate takes about one year to complete if studied part time, the Post-graduate Diploma takes about one further year (part time) and the MSc project takes six months to one year (part time).
How can the programme fit in with our current training? We provide organisations with a tailored training solution for their personnel based on current education, experience and job role. We can jointly decide the most suitable modules for client personnel and how they may be tailored to be most effective. For example, this might comprise delivering an accredited programme of modules, together with some unassessed modules, and supplementing the modules with relevant industry visits and networking opportunities.
How much does a programme cost? The total fee varies depending on a number of factors such as the number of students on the programme, the number of selected modules, whether the programme leads to a qualification or is attendance only, the location, whether the modules need to be customised specifically for the organisation, and whether students will require additional coaching. Once we have discussed your requirements, we would be pleased to provide a fully priced proposal.
